KYN28A-12 is a technically mature and widely used metal armored medium voltage indoor switching device with a rated voltage of 12kV. As the main device for receiving and distributing electricity, it is widely used in power plants, substations and various large industrial and mining enterprises.
This device uses a classic "central" layout in which the main switch is mounted on a special cart that extends completely out of the housing. It has four standard positions: working, testing, isolating and repair, which makes operation and maintenance extremely convenient. The housing is made of high-strength steel with aluminum-zinc coating, assembled using multiple bending technology, and is strictly divided into isolated compartments: switch compartment, busbar compartment, cable compartment and low-voltage device compartment, which effectively ensures the safety and reliability of operation.
The device is equipped with a complex “five protection” locking mechanism, which fundamentally eliminates the risk of improper operation. Rated current reaches up to 6300A, short circuit breaking current varies from 25kA to 50kA, providing excellent performance. Thanks to its modular design, high reliability, safe operation and configuration flexibility, the KYN28A-12 has become a recognized classic product in the field of medium voltage distribution.
