The side vacuum circuit breaker is a uniquely designed high voltage switching device whose rated voltage covers the range from 12 kV to 40.5 kV. Its key feature is that the vacuum arc chute, insulation supports and drive system are positioned side-by-side parallel to the mounting surface, making it a stark difference from traditional center or floor-mounted designs.

This lateral arrangement makes the design as compact as possible, significantly reducing the overall width, making it particularly suitable for installation in cabinets where space is limited (such as some compact ring distribution cabinets). The arc extinguishing medium is a high-vacuum medium, which has high arc extinguishing ability, long service life, complete maintenance-free and environmental friendliness. This circuit breaker can be equipped with a high-performance spring actuator, supporting manual or electrical control, providing normal line making and breaking, as well as fast short circuit breaking.

Thanks to its sealed housing and excellent insulating design, it is effectively protected from moisture, condensation and other adverse conditions. The side vacuum circuit breaker, with its compact size, high reliability and space saving, has become one of the key components in the development of modern distribution equipment towards compactness and modularity.
