GW4-40.5 high-voltage outdoor disconnect switch is a key equipment in the 40.5 kV three-phase AC transmission and distribution system. It is primarily used for breaking or connecting high voltage circuits when there is no load, forming a clearly visible breaking point and providing reliable electrical isolation during switching and servicing of lines and equipment.
The product adopts a double pillar design with horizontal rotation. Each pole consists of two insulating supports that support the conductive blades. During operation, the knives are driven by the operating mechanism and rotate relative to each other in a horizontal plane, ensuring joint connection and disconnection. This design provides a clear contact point, long opening stroke and excellent insulation properties.
The base is equipped with a high quality bearing system for easy rotation. The contact part is usually equipped with a magnetic lock or a spring device to provide sufficient thermal stability when a short circuit occurs. GW4-40.5 can be equipped with manual or electric drive and can be easily equipped with a single-phase or three-phase grounding switch, which guarantees safe operation due to strict mechanical interlocking. With simple structure, low operating effort and high environmental adaptability, it is widely used in open areas such as power plants and substations, and is an indispensable insulation equipment in high-voltage systems.
