The internal high voltage earthing switch type JN15 is a very important protective device in 12 kV switchgears. Its main function is to reliably connect the high-voltage main circuit (e.g. busbars or cables) to earth after confirming that the high-voltage main circuit (e.g. busbars or cables) is de-energized, providing absolute life protection for personnel carrying out repairs and maintenance of the equipment.
This product is designed for use with high voltage disconnectors of the GN19 series and others. Thanks to the system of forced mechanical interlocks, compliance with the sequence of operations is guaranteed: “first open the disconnector completely, then you can close the grounding switch,” which completely eliminates serious accidents with the supply of voltage to the grounding wire. Its structure consists of a base, a supporting insulator, a conductive blade and a fixed contact; Manual operation requires moderate effort, and the closed state is stable and reliable.
The permissible short-term current indicator in the model (for example, 31.5 kA) indicates the ability of the device to withstand powerful short-circuit current shocks. The JN15 grounding switch, thanks to its reliable interlocking, high current carrying capacity and robust design, is an indispensable element in KYN28 type metal cabinets and other enclosed distribution devices, serving as the last reliable shield for the safe operation of electrical systems.
