It is based on a vacuum arc extinguishing chamber as a disconnecting element, which has high arc extinguishing ability, long service life and virtually no maintenance. Typically, the device combines the switch, disconnector and mechanical operator in a sealed stainless steel housing filled with dry insulating gas, providing a high degree of protection and reliable operation in harsh outdoor climates.

As a key node of the smart grid, ZW20 integrates electric spring drive and intelligent control unit (FTU). It is capable of both remotely and locally switching on and off load current and clearing short circuits, as well as monitoring line parameters such as voltage and current in real time. In addition, it supports automatic detection, localization and isolation of faults, as well as restoration of power supply to undisturbed sections of the network (the “automatic restart” function).
