GN19-630A is a specialized internal high voltage isolation switch with a current rating of 630A. Its key design is the integration of dual switching and grounding functions, making it suitable for 12kV distribution systems where it is necessary to selectively switch two independent power supplies and ensure safe service.

The switch consists of two main blade contactors ("double switching") and one ground blade contactor. The switch drive, through a tight mechanical interconnect, controls the main contacts so that they reliably switch between three positions: “Power 1 On”, “Power 2 On” and “Open”, providing power circuit transfer. Once both main circuit sources are disconnected, the grounding switch can safely close, reliably grounding the load-side busbars, providing critical protection when servicing the equipment and effectively preventing the risk of electric shock due to accidental activation.

The design of the device is durable, made on the principle of rotating knife contacts, after opening there is a clearly visible breaking point. The interlock on the panel guarantees a forced sequence of operations: “open the main circuit → close the grounding switch”, which completely eliminates incorrect operations, such as turning on the grounding switch under load. GN19-630A, with its integration of functions, reliable interlocking and high security, becomes a key insulation and protection element in dual power distribution cabinets.
