A residential distribution panel (also called a building distribution panel or indoor distribution panel) is a standardized switchgear installed inside buildings for terminal power distribution, circuit control and safety purposes. It is the end link of a low-voltage distribution system, directly supplying power to end users such as lighting, sockets, air conditioners, and providing protection against overload, short circuit and current leakage.
The apartment switchboard has a modular design; Inside it, miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), residual current devices (RCCBs), disconnectors and other components are mounted on a DIN rail. The panel body is usually made of cold-rolled steel or fire-resistant engineering plastic and is compact, easy to install, safe and reliable. It is widely used for indoor power distribution in residential buildings, office buildings, shopping malls, schools and other facilities.
