Outdoor high-voltage isolator switch type ZW10-12 (commonly called "knife disconnector") is a single-pole and single-pole high-voltage switching device designed specifically for 10kV distribution lines. Its main function is to safely open or close a circuit when voltage is present and there is no load, providing visible electrical isolation for overhead power lines, which is a necessary measure for the safety of workers during line maintenance and repair.

The product has an extremely simple design consisting of a base, a high-strength ceramic insulator and a conductive blade. The main feature is the unique hook control method: personnel do not need to directly touch the switch, using an insulated hook, the circuit can be opened and closed from the ground or from installed equipment on a support, which significantly improves safety and ease of operation.

ZW10-12 features compact structure and light weight, can be directly installed on the line support beam, saving space and reducing cost. High-strength ceramic insulator effectively withstands long-term exposure to adverse external conditions (sunlight, rain, pollution).
