ZW7-40.5 (side mount) is an advanced outdoor pole mounted high voltage vacuum circuit breaker, rated voltage 40.5kV, specially designed for the protection of power transmission lines and substation outgoing lines, serving as the key equipment for making and breaking loads, short circuit interrupting and automatic fault isolation.
It adopts a unique side-mount design, in which the vacuum arc chute, drive and operating mechanism are mounted in series and enclosed in a sealed stainless steel housing, with a high protection rating that effectively resists wind, rain, pollution and salt spray. The main function is spring motor drive, supporting remote and local intelligent control, with the ability to integrate with FTU (line terminal unit), providing accurate measurement, protection, fault detection and communication functions (support 4G/private wireless network, etc.), being a key link for distribution network automation.
The switch has a high switching capacity (typically 25 kA) and excellent insulation. Its side-mount design provides a more stable center of gravity, good vibration resistance, and makes installation and maintenance easier. With its smart, reliable, low-maintenance and adaptive characteristics, ZW7-40.5 has become an indispensable installation switch for modern smart power grids.
